Fuzion Brings Back Ideas from HR Indiana Annual Conference

Fuzion knows the important role our associates play in providing superior client service. As part of our unwavering commitment to both our clients and associates, ensuring our Human Resources team stays on top of current trends to engage and inspire today’s diverse workforce is a key factor in delivering Fuzion’s services. Attending the 2023 HR Indiana Annual Conference, the largest Society for Human Resources Management conference in the region, helps Fuzion’s Human Resources professionals stay on top of the latest personnel management and organizational development trends. The event, which regularly attracts over 1,600 attendees, was held from August 8-10 at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis.

HR Team Gains Fresh Insights to Enhance Workplace Culture and Client Service.

Annual attendance exposes the HR team to renowned speakers, training via educational sessions, and the latest HR products and services, enabling the team to bring back fresh ideas for continuous improvements that support the Fuzion culture our associates appreciate.

Participation in the HR Indiana Annual Conference continues to be a valuable source of inspiration to Fuzion, generating ideas that contribute to a stronger, more positive workplace. The insights gleaned from the event have shaped initiatives that enhance associate satisfaction. That commitment was affirmed in June, when Fuzion earned certification from Great Place to Work® - a reflection of the company’s ongoing efforts to foster a supportive and engaging work environment.

Moira Shaw, Fuzion’s Senior Payroll and HR Generalist, said, “Our team takes very seriously our responsibility to nurture Fuzion’s culture. The conference allows us to learn from HR experts about ways to enhance our associates already positive mindsets so they can do their best work at Fuzion and provide excellent service to our clients.”

This year’s conference included the following inspiring keynote speakers:

  • Marcus Buckingham, global researcher and New York Times best-selling author who presented on “Creating Work You Love for Yourself and Those You Lead”

  • Nikki Lanier, CEO of Harper-Slade Racial Equity Advisor, who spoke on “The Lens Through Which We Experience DEI”

  • Tanya Menon, professor of Management and Human Resources at Fisher College of Business, who provided insights on how to achieve a “Innovation Mindset”

  • Daniel Schawbel, managing partner at Workplace Intelligence who revealed “The Top Trends Shaping the Global Workplace in 2023 & Beyond”

  • Ken Yerkes, partner at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, who provided a “Labor & Employment Update on New Challenges for Employers in 2023 & Beyond”
